08 Jun A 23 Gauge Pin Nailer from Craftsman
On June 2, Craftsman announced the launch of its new brushless, cordless RP™ nailer that is available as a tool-only purchase (CMCN623B, $179), or bundled in a kit with a 1.5 Ah battery and a charger (CMCN623C1, $229). The company says that it delivers precise and clean nail placement for pin nails ranging from 5/8″ to 1-3/8″ in length. It has a tool free jam release feature for easy maintenance and reduced downtime, and a built-in LED light for clear and accurate alignment. It comes with a 3-year limited warranty.
The 20V MAX battery has a maximum initial battery voltage, measured without a workload, of 20 volts and the nominal voltage is 18. An optional upgrade to a 4 Ah lithium-ion battery (CMCB204) is available.
Also launched in June was a cordless variable speed jig saw (Tool Only, CMCS650B, $129) that has three orbital settings, a variable speed trigger with speeds up to 3,200 SPM, and a beveling shoe that pivots up to 45 degrees for angled cuts.
