21 Nov A Bench-Top Air Scrubber
On November 18th, Oneida Air Systems introduced a new dust collector, the BenchTop DCTM, which sits on a workbench where it moves airborne dust away from the source, and the user’s breathing zone. The portable unit moves the dust through a highly efficient dual-filter system, and it’s ideal for woodworkers who are using hand tools or portable power tools where they don’t have built-in or adequately sized dust ports. It has six high-performance fan motors, for a quiet and uniform airflow and increased static pressure. The industrial-grade machine delivers up to 535 CFM, and it has variable speed control. The unique hood (which ensures maximum airflow from the work area directly to the filter), the thin unit profile, the exceptional CFM and the filtration performance make it ideal for tasks such as wood carving, hand sanding and using rotary tools. It’s tough, too: the powder-coated steel frame is built-to-last. The unit’s dual filter system has a washable MERV 5 pre-filter that captures larger particles, and that extends the longevity of the wide-pleated, high-performance MERV 15 main filter. Measuring 25” wide by 16” tall by 7” deep and weighing 20 lbs., the compact BenchTop DC has an extra 110V outlet that allows small hand tools or accessories to be powered right through the collector. It comes with a 71” power cord, and it’s available now from oneida-air.com for the introductory price of $579.95 USD.
