19 Feb A Corded and Cordless Rear Handle Circular Saw from Metabo HPT
This new brushless saw (C3607DWA) comes as a tool only or a kit and it can make up to five hundred 2×4 crosscuts on a full charge. It can also cut through up to five layers of 1/2” or four layers of 5/8” OSB or plywood, using a 7-1/4” blade and the company’s 36V MultiVolt 4 Ah battery. It’s 2 lbs. lighter than the leading competition when the battery is installed, and is the lightest rear handle saw in its class. It bevels 53° with stops at 22.5°, 45° and 53°, and it has a 5,100 RPM no-load speed with a built-in electric brake. The blade has a 2-7/16” maximum cutting depth and the saw has a magnesium base, a rafter hook, and an easy cutting-depth adjustment. It comes with one of the new VPR 24 tooth framing blades and a convenient tool bag.
The saw accepts any MultiVolt battery (it only needs one) and can also accept Metabo’s unique AC adapter (ET36A, sold separately) to plug in for all day runtime, offering ultimate versatility and power on the go. The light, well-balanced body also offers excellent line-of-sight when making cuts. There’s a lifetime warranty on the tool body. The kit includes a 4 Ah battery, a rapid charger with a USB port for charging phones, the blade, an adapter for a shop vacuum hose, the carry bag and a 10/13mm wrench.
