28 Feb A Docking Station for Kreg’s 520PRO or 720 Jig
Kreg’s Docking Station (item KPHA750, $49.99) transforms one of the two newer model pocket hole jigs into a handy benchtop workstation. It supports work so it doesn’t tip when you’re in the middle of drilling holes. It adds a stop for repeat operations when you need to locate pocket holes the same distance from edges or sides – for example, when making cabinet face frames. And it also has built-in storage for accessories, parts, bits and screws. The Docking Station has two big material support wings or boxes that can be placed anywhere to make it easier to work with larger workpieces, or it can be locked to the jig for short parts. An included clamp attaches the docking station to a work surface or a bench, and those two support wings can be placed even several feet away when you’re working with long boards and plywood. Just disconnect them for repositionable support, or else attach them to the base and fold them up when not in use. The Docking Station is easy to connect to your jig and is a great solution when you need added storage, stability, and material support. There’s a Youtube™ video here.
