A Jobsite Jointer

Now available from Massachusetts based Rikon Tools is the 20-800H, an 8″ wide helical-style bench-top jointer. It has a 6-row helical-style cutter-head with sixteen carbide double-edged insert cutters for super cutting action, flat surfacing results, and easy knife changes. Table extensions expand the work surface from 30-1/2″ to 51-1/2″. The 20-800H features rigid, all-metal construction, machined aluminum tables, a quick depth-setting mechanism and an adjustable fence that quickly and accurately tilts from 90° to 45°. There’s a spring-loaded safety guard, both 4″ and 2-1/2” dust ports, a front safety on/off switch and it comes with two push blocks. The large 19-3/4″ x 4-3/8″ fence tilts from 90° to 135°, and there’s an easy-to-read depth scale. the motor draws 10 Amps (120 V), the no-load speed is 20,000 RPM, and the maximum cut is 1/8″. This is a bench-top unit that’s fairly easy to bring to an install: it’s 13″ tall, 18-3/4″ wide and 51-1/2″ long. It weighs in at just 49 lbs., and comes with a 5 year warranty.
