Ryobi Area Light PCL662B

A New Area Light is Coming from Ryobi

Among the newest additions to Ryobi’s 18V ONE+ battery system is an LED area light (item PCL662B). This isn’t a high output spotlight, but more of a floodlight that delivers even light over a larger area. The company says it’s “a convenient and portable light source for any occasion, with its 850 lumens to power you through even the darkest of jobs”. There’s a built-in 2A USB charging port to keep portable electronic devices charged, and the folding metal handle provides customized overhead lighting when it’s used to hang the light on, say, a nail driven into a stud. It’s backed by a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty and the battery and charger are sold separately. There are three light output levels – 850, 400 and 100 lumens, so a woodworker can balance available batteries against the need for longer lighting. The light was recently awarded a PTIA tool innovation award.
