A New Cordless Brushless Multi-Tool from Ryobi

If you’re planning on buying a multi-tool, and you own any Ryobi 18-volt batteries, hang in there for a few weeks. The company has announced that it will introduce the PBLMT50B soon. It’s a brushless multi-tool that delivers up to 20,000 oscillations per minute (OPM) and includes two cutting blades (one plunge cut and one flush cut), a triangular sanding pad and three sanding sheets. It has a 3.6-degree oscillation angle that provides up to 30% faster cutting speeds compared to the older model P343B. There’s a tool-free release for quick and easy accessory changes. The variable speed dial accommodates different materials and densities, and there’s an LED light built in. No word on price yet, but the current model (P343B) was listed on The Home Depot website on December 24th 2020 at $49 (tool only).
