A new and affordable 1/2” cordless drill from Worx (item WX108L, $69.99) comes with the tool, a 2 Ah battery and a charger. The company has also introduced an even less expensive 3/8” version (item WX100L, $59.99). The larger unit is designed to “handle large drilling applications with a full-sized 1/2″ chuck”. It has variable two-speed all metal gearing and 20+1 clutch settings (the +1 is a maximum torque fixed setting). There’s an LED light to illuminate the workspace and help in low-light environments. The compact and lightweight body measures just 7″ and weighs under 2 lbs. The handle has a Gripzone™ micro-texture and an ergonomic design that offers optimum comfort and ease of use. The same battery powers over seventy-five 20V, 40V, and 80V lifestyle, garden, and power tools in the Power Share™ family. The drill has no-load speed ranges of 0 to 400RPM and 0 to 1600 RPM. The maximum torque is 354 inch-pounds. In the box, there’s the drill plus a double-ended screwdriver bit, a belt hook, the 2 Ah battery (item WA3525) and the charger (item WA3742).
