10 Sep A Woodshop Auction In The Black Hills
If you’re within driving distance of the Black Hills in South Dakota, the tools and equipment from the WoodEzine workshop are being auctioned on September 19th. Our editor, John English, is retiring from commercial woodworking to concentrate on writing, and the contents of his 3,000 square foot woodshop in Belle Fourche are going to be available.
Included are a Grizzly table saw with an Excalibur sliding table, an 8″ long-bed jointer, a 15″ planer, a 22″ swing 3HP lathe, a JET midi lathe, five dust collectors, hand tools, power tools, carbide insert turning tools, a band saw, miter saw, floor model drill press and lots more. You can see some of what’s included on this page.
John has been building custom furniture and cabinets for more than thirty years, so it’s a large collection of tools and machines including clamps, workbenches and custom shop furniture – there’s a tool cart and also a hand tool cabinet that were built for major woodworking magazines. There will also be some furniture and household items in the auction, and some items from the retail store as the building has been sold.
The auction begins at 9:44 A.M. and the larger equipment will be sold at 1 PM. There will be a food truck on site for lunch.
Belle Fourche is about 45 minutes west-northwest of Rapid City. On Google Maps™ search for 518 Grant Street, Belle Fourche SD 57717.
