Amana Tru Point™ insert line for CNCs.

Amana Adds Two New Round-over Inserts

Amana Tool has added two new profiles to its Tru Point™ insert line for CNCs. They are 5/16” and 3/8” radius round-over bits with a very fine point. These bits are designed for lettering, engraving, sign-making, fluting and decorative trimming. Due to their very fine plunge points, they are not guaranteed against breakage. Amana says they are excellent for cutting hardwood, softwood, MDF, plastic, and plywood.

Other products in the line include V-groove, ball-nose, and round-over bits in a variety of sizes. There are also a couple of 4-piece sets that include different profiles.

The new 5/16” radius bit has a 7/8” overall diameter (D), and a 1/4” shank.  Other dimensions (see image) are D1, 11/16”; Cutting Height (B), 5/16”; and Overall Length (L), 2-7/8”. The replacement knives are RCK-474. The 3/8” bit is similar except, of course, for the radius.
