Amana Tool’s Mini Insert Engraving Tool for CNC

Amana Tool’s Mini Insert Engraving System for CNC

A new mini engraving system from Amana includes a tool body/chuck (part RC-1074 CNC, overall length 1-3/4”) with a 1/8” diameter shank, and three insert knives for V-grooving. The tool body and knives are sold separately.

The solid carbide insert knives “produce crisp, clean cuts and last at least twice as long as comparable solid carbide bits”. The industrial engraving tool body was engineered to quickly interchange inserts while the tool body remains mounted in a CNC router. That minimizes down-time and helps to maintain consistent cutting accuracy. The CNC tool body is balanced for virtually no vibration to provide superior cutting results, so this is an excellent solution for etching. It is designed for cutting and engraving laminated materials, veneers, MDF, plastics, soft and hard wood, phenolic, solid surface, carbon fiber, PCB board, HDPE, King Starboard® (a soft plastic cardboard made with super soft, super flexible PVC.), aluminum, brass, copper, Corian™, poly, acrylic stone, Coroplast and other materials.

The V-tip engraving insert knives have a 5mm (3/16”) cutting height and come in 45 (RCK-505), 60 (RCK-506) and 90-degree (RCK-507) profiles. They are intended for 80 feet per minute feed.

Amana Tool is based in Farmingdale, New York and offers a full line of industrial-quality cutting tools includes saw blades, router bits, shaper cutters and boring bits.
