29 Nov An Inexpensive 10 Amp Fixed Base Corded Router
Reviewers say the size of the new RT1323-00 router from Skil makes it a useful addition to the tool shelf. At 9-1/4” tall, it’s in between a trim router and a fully-fledged plunge unit. They also like the soft start and the dust collection’s engineering. It has dial-up speed control and LED lights. This is a fixed base, corded unit with a 10 Amp, 2 HP motor and a safety light on top that lets the woodworker know it’s plugged in. The no-load speed range is 10k to 25k RPM. There are three coarse depth settings with micro-depth adjustment, which makes for fast and accurate depth adjustments. It comes with ¼” and ½” collets, and weighs in at 8 lbs. In the box is the router, the collets, a parallel guide, the single wrench and a dust extraction adaptor. Amazon won’t have it in stock until January 4th, but it can be pre-ordered now.
