An Inexpensive Desktop CNC

The new Shark SD100® from Next Wave Automation is a compact, full-function CNC machine that is made in the USA and is capable of producing high quality 3D carvings. It comes with VCarve Desktop software for project designing, and its plug and play engineering will accept any Next Wave accessories such as laser modules or a mini 4th axis. It’s capable of machining up to 12” x 13”, and 3” high. The machine has an MDF bed with T-slots to allow a variety of clamping positions, and it comes with two hold down clamps. You’ll need to provide a PC computer with a USB port and a router to run the SD100. It ships fully assembled and includes a V-groove bit and an AB-USB cord. The older model of this machine was called the Barracuda.
