Falcon HVLP sprayers from Apollo

Apollo’s New HVLP Turbine Paint Spray Systems

There’s good news for smaller woodshops from Apollo HVLP Turbo Spray. On November 1st, the company introduced its new Falcon® Spray Series. There are three systems, (3, 4 or 5-stage models), and they’re specifically designed for small professional and serious hobbyist shops. Basically, the more stages a turbine has, the better it is at breaking up and delivering thicker, un-thinned coatings. A 3-stage will deliver serviceable results if the product is thinned, and a 5-stage probably won’t need much thinning, if any. The 5-stage will cover a surface faster.

Proudly made in the USA, the series offers dual automotive-grade air filters, QT™ Quiet Technology, a thoughtfully designed all-metal main case in bold new colors, full ventilation and excellent air filtration for higher performance and longer motor life. The system is available in 3 excellent bottom and gravity cup spray gun options (bleeder or non-bleeder style), and it is backed by Apollo’s 2-year limited parts and labor warranty.

This set-up is ideal for spraying a wide range of thin to medium viscosity finishes, and some key features include Apollo’s exclusive flex-hose in 25’ to 28’ hose lengths with quick-connect and  lightweight alloy couplers on both ends; a Handi-Hold™ spray gun docking station to safely transport your spray gun; and 7.0 to 9.5 PSI sealed pressure (the PSI depends on the model) to provide optimum atomization of many finishes.

The Falcon Spray FS3 HVLP paint spray system is an efficient 3-stage turbine that delivers 7.0 PSI sealed pressure for optimum atomization of many finishes. It has documented 80+% transfer efficiency and 38% savings on coatings when compared with compressed air systems.

Its twin automotive-grade external air filtration removes airborne particulates, and its 16 cooling louvers extract heated air from the inner case to preserve motor life. Spray gun options for this model are the E5011 Bleeder with bottom cup, the E7000 Non-Bleeder with bottom cup, and the E7700GTO Non-Bleeder with a gravity cup. QTTM Quiet Technology™ lowers the dBa levels for a more pleasant spraying experience. It comes with a 25′ (7.6 meter) hose.

The Falcon Spray FS4 delivers 9 PSI and comes with a 25’ hose.

The Falcon Spray FS5 delivers 9.5 PSI and has a 28’ hose.

WoodEzine saw the Apollo Falcon Spray FS3 with the E5011 gun at McFeely’s for $795 and the same model with a E7700GTO gun for $959.
