BESSEY’s New One-handed Table Clamps (EZR-SET)

The newest EZR-SET (as in ‘easier set”?) one-handed clamp from BESSEY Tools was originally created to work with track saw guides, but woodworkers and the manufacturer have discovered that it does a lot more than that. The tool, called the EZR table clamp, works with saw guides from Festool™, Protool™, Metabo™, Makita™, Hitachi/Hikoki™ and DeWalt™. But it also offers single handed clamping and spreading of workpieces, and does so with 100 lbs of clamping force. Step-over work (crossing the clamps over each other) is made possible by inserting a 2” adaptor into the upper or lower jaw. An easy-to-use release mechanism converts from clamping to spreading (quickly and without tools) simply by using a push button release. Engineered with Fiberglas™ reinforced polyamide and an ergonomically shaped handle, it delivers a powerful grip as well as safe access to the trigger lever. The fully enclosed plastic housing is also protected from dust and chips, and the profiled rail offers extra stability. The crossed v-grooves in the pads protect work and let the clamp grab and hold round, pointed and angular pieces. The EZR-SET contains two one-handed table clamps with 6” clamping capacity (the spreading width is 4-¾” to 12”) and they have a 2-3/8” throat depth. The press release is here, and WoodEzine found them on the Woodpeckers® website for $49.99 for the 2-clamp set.
