22 Feb BORA® Tool Launches A 3-1/4 HP Fixed Base Router
The new PM-6250 is a corded beast that was launched by Michigan based Bora on February 15th. It has an adjustable speed control that is completely sealed, and the tool maintains constant speed while under load. A woodworker can remove the router motor to use it in router lifts or CNC machines that accept a 4.2” diameter housing. The motor sits in a heavy-duty, precision-milled, cast aluminum base and is equipped with soft start. The 15 Amp motor delivers a range of speed from 10,000 to 22,000 RPM and has electronic speed control. There’s an easy depth adjustment with a Micro Adjust ring, and the router comes with 1/4” and 1/2” collets and offset wrenches. The pro grade PM-6250 also comes with two polycarbonate sub-bases, one for standard router bushing sets and a larger 2-1/2” diameter opening for larger bits. It’s listed at $429.
