08 Mar Craftsman’s New V20* Cordless tools
The new line of portable RP™ (runtime + performance) power tools from Craftsman® combines brushless motor technology with the V20* battery system. It includes eight new tools – an oscillating tool (CMCE565B) that “delivers up to 57 percent more power and features a tool-free blade changing system and integrated LED light”; a 1/2” hammer drill (CMCD732B, up to 20 percent more power); a 1/4” impact driver (CMCF813B, 30% more runtime); a 3/8” impact wrench (CMCF911B with 2800 RPM no-load speed and 3500 impacts per minute); a ½” impact wrench (CMCF921B with up to 26 percent more runtime); a 7-1/4” circular saw (CMCS551B, up to 75 % more power); a cordless reciprocating saw (CMCS351B, up to 75% more power); and a 4-1/2” small angle grinder (CMCG451B) that the company says delivers up to 65% more power. Additional brushless products will join the line throughout 2022. The maximum initial battery voltage (measured without a workload) for these tools is 20 volts and the nominal voltage is 18.
