08 Apr DeWALT Introduces New 1/2″ Drill and Hammer Drill
DeWALT® has announced a new 20V MAX* XR® brushless 1/2” drill-driver (item DCD800) and 1/2” hammer drill-driver (item DCD805). Each of the tools’ high-output brushless motors provide users with up to 40% more output in a compact design that boasts a tool head that is a 1/2” shorter in length than the company’s previous model. These features allow for work in confined, hard to reach areas without sacrificing performance. Engineered for optimal speed, control and precision, the drills feature a high-speed transmission that uses a variable trigger and two speed settings. They have high bit retention with a metal ratcheting chuck and up to 2000 RPM in second speed when drilling into construction materials. The hammer drill quickly drills into masonry material with up to 34,000 BPM through an integrated hammer mode function. Each drill also features an adjustable 3-position, 3-mode LED light producing up to 70 lumens. The light has a spotlight mode, and a 20-minute shut-off function that allows for extended work time in dimly lit work areas. The tools also accept the company’s Tool Connect™ chip (DCE042, sold separately) that syncs with an app for worksite asset management. Both tools are available this month, and they can be purchased as bare tools or in several kitted options.
