19 Oct DeWalt Will Be the First Major Power Tool Brand to Use Pouch Cell Batteries
The new Powerstack™ 20V MAX* compact battery will be available on December 1 and will deliver 50% more power in a 25% more compact design than current models. The company describes it as “a next-generation technological breakthrough that marks a new era of performance for DEWALT cordless power tools”. The design delivers the lightest and most powerful compact battery from DeWalt®, coming in at 15% lighter to provide tool maneuverability, high precision and reduced fatigue when used in tight workspaces. It also has twice the lifespan and several features to optimize functionality. The battery pack has a LED fuel gauge that displays the battery’s state-of-charge, helping a woodworker avoid unplanned work stoppages. It’s designed with a durable, non-marring rubber over-mold that provides impact resistance, while also helping to protect finished surfaces. And it’s compatible with all DeWalt 20V MAX* tools and chargers. It will begin to roll out to North American distributors, retailers, and e-commerce channels beginning December 2021 through spring 2022.
