Eco-friendly, Solid Acrylic Doors and Drawer Fronts from Element Designs

A new line of solid color acrylic components from North Carolina based Element Designs combines luxury and decor with eco-friendly materials. Named dECOLuxe, they’re made from 100% recycled acrylic and they are also 100% recyclable, which are both salient points when a woodshop’s client is concerned about environmental impacts.

The new doors and drawer fronts are available in eight colors in both 4mm (about 1/6”) and 18mm (3/4”) thicknesses. The colors include Alpine White, Anthracite, Black, Cobalt Blue, Light Grey, Stone Grey (the color of the kitchen shown here), plus Turquoise and White. They also obviate the need for metal pulls and knobs because there are two options for machined-in pulls in either straight or curved profiles. And the edges of the doors can be square, or they can be gently rounded over to 1, 2 or 3mm.

The dECOLuxe Solid Acrylic sheet size is 1m x 3m (39.37” x 118.11”), which should handle virtually any size requirement including appliance panels. The material comes in a high gloss finish, and matching edge banding is available in select colors. The optional Integrated finger pulls create sleek, contemporary cabinetry designs with very clean lines. Doors and drawer fronts are custom manufactured to 1/16″ tolerance, and there’s a quick 2-week lead time with no minimum order quantities.

Element Designs is the leading manufacturer of custom aluminum frame glass doors in North America, and all of its products are made in the USA.
