Four New DeWALT Tools

DeWALT introduced four new 20V MAX* brushless tools today, and each of them has Flexvolt Advantage™ built in. The tools include a 7-1/4” circular saw (DCS573B), a ½” hammer drill/driver (DCD999B), a reciprocating saw (DCS386B) and a 4.5/5” cordless grinder (DCG416B). Flexvolt Advantage allows the tools to recognize the battery that is attached, and adjust the power output accordingly. It provides users with more power when paired with Flexvolt batteries, making these tools ideal for demanding applications. The 20V Max family now includes some 200 tools. The new circular saw has up to 77% more power when paired with a Flexvolt 6.0Ah battery ($159, sold separately), and it has a no-load speed of 5800 RPM. The hammer drill has up to 42% more power, achieves over 1200 UWO (Unit Watts Out, a new measure of power that combines speed and torque), and features a three-mode LED light and housing upgrades designed for high torque applications. The new reciprocating saw delivers up to 50% more power and achieves more than 1400 UWO. It has a no-load speed of 3000 SPM (strokes per minute), and a 1-1/8-In. stroke length for fast, efficient cutting. The grinder has up to 54% more power, achieves over 1400 UWO, and features a kickback brake and E-Clutch® system for user protection. They will be available in October and each tool will come standard with a three-year limited warranty, one-year free service contract, and a 90-day money back guarantee.
