Greenworks Has a New 24V Brushless Reciprocating Saw

The new saw (model 3601302AZ, $129.99, tool only) has a 1-1/8″ stroke length that provides fast and efficient cutting – the company says it does 40% more cuts than the leading competitor’s model, and it has a variable speed trigger for maximum control.

Greenworks’ 24 Volt lithium-ion platform is called Powerall™ and it currently powers more than fifty indoor and outdoor products including lawn mowers, blowers, string trimmers, chainsaws and power tools. The manufacturer says the battery “provides 20% more power and 35% more run-time and delivers fade-free power with no memory loss after charging”.  It has a high efficiency brushless motor for more torque, quiet operation, and a longer life. There’s a die-cast aluminum gear housing for maximum durability, and the saw’s compact design provides excellent balance and control. There’s a “stay-open” blade clamp for quick and easy one-handed blade changes, and an adjustable pivoting shoe with depth-of-cut control. The new saw comes with a 3-year limited tool warranty. The battery and charger are sold separately.
