20 Jul Grizzly 5-Speed Hanging HEPA Filter
The new Large Advanced Hanging Air Filter (item T33151, $599 on sale until 8/15) is a 5-speed unit with a HEPA filter that is designed to clear the woodshop of fine dust particles that a collector or vacuum don’t capture. According to Grizzly, the HEPA filter captures 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns, while the activated carbon filter traps odors. Smart sensors detect poor air quality and adjust the speed accordingly through the HEPA and carbon filters. It can be set to operate in air flow speeds between 800 and 1400 CFM in response to the fan speed button on the control panel, or the remote control. A quick glance at the built-in air quality monitor indicates when the primary HEPA filter or the secondary 10-micron activated carbon filter needs replacing. A blue light on the control panel or remote control indicates normal operation, while a red light means the filter needs replacing. When the machine is on, the Grizzly bear head on the control panel doubles as an air quality indicator. The bear lights up green when the air is of optimal quality. It changes to orange when the air needs increased filtering and red when max fan speed is suggested. The air filter can be set for a timed performance of 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours. At the end of this time, the air filter will automatically turn off. The Auto function detects the air quality and adjusts filtration speed based on the current air quality. When enabled, the Auto indicator will shine blue on both the control panel and remote. The T33151 comes with a 1-year warranty which covers parts and assures the unit is free from factory defects. It has a 1/3 HP, 110V, single-phase, 2.8A motor, a 30-Micron pleated pre-filter, and a 0.3-Micron, HEPA primary filter. The approximate shipping weight is 68 lbs. There are eye bolts and chains for hanging from the ceiling or rubber feet for use on a workbench.
