10 Jul Milwaukee Track Saw Coming in October
Milwaukee® says its new M18 FUEL™ 6 ½” Plunge Track Saw will be available this fall. The saw (item 2831-21, $549) can rip anything from 1/4″ plywood to 2” thick oak or walnut without bogging down. With over 90% dust collection, users will have cleaner and safer work environments, allowing them to work inside a finished home or their workshop.
The saw will come with a dust bag, blade, splinter guard, and 5-year warranty. The kit will include a 6 Ah battery, a charger and a Packout™ XL toolbox. The saw weighs 9.8 lbs. without the battery, runs at 2500 to 5600 RPM, has a 20mm arbor, bevels from -1 to 48 degrees, and has a cut capacity of 2-1/4″.
Milwaukee is also introducing a new line of 6-½” track saw blades for general-purpose, finish, fine finish, fiber cement, and laminate. The anti-friction coating resists corrosion and gumming, and the laser cut technology reduces wobbling and warping. The blades have cobalt-infused tungsten carbide, which has been engineered to extend life and maintain tip sharpness.
Other accessories will include 31”, 55”, and 108” guide rails; guide rail clamps and connectors; a guide rail bag; and replacement non-slip strips.
The new saw is fully compatible with the entire M18™ battery line. M18 products have three Milwaukee innovations, a Powerstate™ brushless motor, a Redlithium™ battery pack and Redlink Plus™ intelligence hardware and software. As of today, it was not yet shown on the Milwaukee website.
