23 Sep New Legs from Osborne Wood Products, Inc.
Georgia based Osborne continually creates new products for furniture makers from dedicated amateurs to large professional shops (volume discounts are available). Among the company’s newest offerings are almost two dozen dining, coffee, end table, and bench legs designs that can be mortised into projects, attached with aprons and hidden screws, or set in place using mounting plates that the company supplies. They come in a variety of lengths and in species such as soft maple, cherry, red oak and pine. Many are available in premium species too, such as black walnut, hickory, mahogany or white oak. The company also offers pedestal bases as an alternative solution to standard dining tables, and its Island Post Collection includes posts that are 34-1/2”, 35-1/2” and 40-1/2” tall.
Osborne reminds woodworkers that bench legs can double as coffee table legs.
The new collections include fluted, contemporary, traditional, Provincial (French), transitional, several classic English, country, Concord and rope designs. They come unfinished in paint, softwood and hardwood grades. The company has also added some interesting metals legs recently that come in black coatings with natural wood feet (part 41006).
