New corbels from Osborne Wood Products

New Selection of Corbels from Osborne

Osborne Wood Products, Inc. has introduced a selection of 21 new corbels in species that include hard maple, soft maple, alder, cherry, red oak, or paint grade rubberwood. The company offers weathered wood distressing on its knotty pine and red oak species. Traditionally, a corbel is a structural piece of stone, wood, or metal that supports structural weight, and they became increasingly decorative over time. Although many contemporary structures don’t need to rely on them to support weight, decorative corbels continue to be used to enhance the aesthetics of projects.

When it comes to installation, Osborne’s corbels include metal keyhole brackets on the back, and the number varies based on the weight and size of the piece. For an alternate mounting solution, consider Osborne’s hidden corbel mount system (item 8940), which has a solid metal design that provides a stronger support base than keyhole brackets. This is ideal for holding up heavier items and is easy to screw into the corbel and desired hanging location.

Osborne offers a large selection of corbels to meet customer demand in a wide variety of styles and sizes. The six samples from the new selection shown here are the Alternate Large Classic Corbel (item 891326 which measures 14″ × 5 ¾” × 7 ⅜”); Medium Modified Contemporary Corbel (891230, 9 ½” × 4 ¾” × 5 ¾”); Large Modified Mission Corbel (891325, 14″ × 5 ¾” × 7 ⅜”); Tall & Narrow Classic Corbel (891726, 10″ × 4 ⅝” × 1 ¼”); Open Scroll Corbel (871131, 9 ½” × 3″ × 6 ⅛”); and the Large Modified Classic Corbel (841226, 14″ × 5 ¾” × 7 ⅜”).
