PantoRouter is Now Powered by Bosch

The PantoRouter™ is a device that holds a router on its side and uses a moving table and templates to create traditional woodworking joinery. It handles mortise and tenon, box and dovetail joints, among others. Compound angles are easy to setup and cut. This is a precision woodworking machine, and the company is now offering Bosch routers in some of its packages. The options include a Bosch 1617 EVS variable speed, 2.25 HP router (110 Volt). The machine starts at $1,395 before options.

PantoRouter recently conducted a second webinar with Fine Woodworking magazine and a recording of that is now available on the company’s website (you’ll need to enter an email address to view it). It shows the machine cutting standard mortise and tenon joinery, compound angles, and more. It’s a very versatile solution – for example, there are templates for over 150 sizes of mortise and tenon joints. The PantoRouter uses a guide bearing to follow a template, which allows the user to move the router bit to cut a shaped pattern in the workpiece.
