18 Jul Salice Face Frame Hinges at Rockler Come in Five Different Overlays
Rockler is offering a new Salice brand 106° opening angle, zero-protrusion, soft-close compact hinges that can be ordered in any of five different overlays for face frame cabinet doors. The overlays range from 1/2” to 1-1/4”, and their compact profile (they’re quite flat) allows roll-out shelves to slide past them unobstructed. The soft-close feature eases the door shut, is quiet, and can be adjusted with a built-in switch. The switch lets a woodworker reduce the damping effect if desired by turning the soft-close off on one of a door’s hinges.
These low-profile, one-piece, concealed cup hinges offer simple installation and precise door alignment. Three eccentric cams mean that one can quickly and easily adjust the doors side-to-side, up-and-down or in-and-out for perfect alignment. Twin-screw attachment to the cabinet frame provides superior stability, while zero door protrusion and a low hinge profile allow pull-out shelves to extend without interference (with side-mount slides installed flush with the face frame). The hinges are made of solid steel with a titanium finish. They open to 106° and are available in a variety of overlays – 1/2” (item 63324 in the Rockler catalog), 5/8” (68491), 3/4” (66959), 1” (64737) and 1-1/4” (63332). All are listed at $9.99 a pair with screws, and are currently in stock.
