09 Jul The Kreg Shelf Pin Jig
The new jig (item KMA3225, $39.99) lets woodworkers add perfectly spaced 1/4” diameter shelf pin holes to projects. The hardened-steel guides let the operator drill for level, wobble-free shelves. The jig comes with a 1/4″ (6mm) high-quality brad-point bit, and the drill guides have standard centering on 1-1/4″ (32mm) spacing. Whether adding shelves to existing furniture or building from scratch, creating the shelf pin holes is easy. Use the fence to align the jig with the edge of the workpiece for straight, accurate rows. Quickly drill six holes in one setup – or connect more Shelf Pin Jigs to drill longer rows of holes with the same consistent spacing.
The jig has a couple of bonus features for installing concealed cabinet hinges and drawer slides in frameless cabinets. Those include molded-in alignment marks and an indicator window that help align mounting screws for hinge plates. They’re set at standard backspacing for a 32mm cabinet system, and they also help with locating the front hole for drawer slide installations.
There are alignment windows for visibility, on-board storage for accessories, and a lifetime warranty on the guides.
