Triton Sander Now At Woodworkers Supply

Triton’s new oscillating spindle/belt sander, the Tspst450, was introduced a few months ago and has just been added to the woodworker.com catalog (Woodworker’s Supply). The benchtop machine offers fast and easy changing between the spindle and belt functions. It has dual action rotating and vertically oscillating movements, for fast sanding and improved work rate. The tabletop tilts up to 45 degrees for chamfering and edge work. It takes sanding sleeves from 1/2″ to 2″ diameter that are 4-1/2″ tall, and the combination of those and the 4×24 belt provides versatility for both intricate, shaped work and plus standard boards. The Tspst450 (boy, these manufacturers need to come up with better, non-numeric names!) has a powerful 3.5 Amp motor, and on board storage for all of the accessories. Its vented throat plates provide an under-the-table dust extraction channel, which works well with a small collector. There’s the option of easy bench mounting or using it as a freestanding job-site tool. It comes with a 4×24 sanding belt, five throat plates, three drum washers, four drums, five sleeves and a spindle wrench. The woodworker.com stock number is 177-515, the price is $239.99, and the company says it will be available on 9/26/2020.
