Well-designed Benchtop Router Table

Grizzly’s new T31636 benchtop fixture ($169.95) doesn’t take up a lot of shop space, and it’s well thought out and built. The top is a 1″ thick slab faced with melamine that measures 15-3/4″ x 23-3/4″. There’s a 3/4″ T-slot for using a miter gauge or attaching feather-boards or jigs. It also includes two removable insert rings for different bit sizes. The steel and extruded aluminum infeed and outfeed fences are adjustable side-to-side to support the workpiece, and come with measuring tapes. There’s a 1-1/2″ dust port for shop vacuums and it also comes with a 2-1/2″ adapter for hooking up to a dust collection system. The clear router bit guard lets you safely see what’s happening at the bit. The mounting plate is 9 x 12 and has set screws for leveling, and the fence is 2-3/4” tall. This router table is lightweight, and it has leveling feet so it’s ideal for the woodshop or jobsite. It comes with a 1-year warranty covering parts and the easy to read manual provides full instructions. An insert wrench, hex wrench and starting pin are included. (Grizzly also offers a portable router table with a dust housing for jobsite work, item T28048).
