29 Oct WEN 21-Inch Variable Speed Parallel Arm Scroll Saw with an Extra-Large Table
The new 1.6 Amp scroll saw from WEN (item LL2156, $370.26) has a heavy-duty steel design that’s intended to limit vibration and reduce noise. The large 25-5/8” x 16” steel table tilts to 45 degrees left and 30 degrees right, and the saw’s dual side panels flip open for easy access and tool-free blade changes. The upper arm locks in the raised position to allow access for interior cuts and workpiece adjustments. The saw comes with a variable speed motor, a flexible air pump, two 5” pin-less blades, a tension release lever, a 1-1/2” dust port, and an adjustable hold-down clamp. It has a 3/4″ stroke that can handle stock up to 2” thick. A woodworker can adjust the speed anywhere from 550 to 1600 strokes per minute with the simple turn of a knob. The adjustable air pump clears sawdust from the work area to provide a clear line of vision. The side panels flip open for easy access to the bottom blade holder, making it quicker than ever to swap out pin-less or spiral blades.
The saw measures 36-1/2” x 16” x 17-3/4” and weighs 53.8 lbs. It comes with a two-year warranty, a stocked inventory of replacement parts, and WEN’s customer help line.
