Worx WX960L kit with drill and impact driver

Worx Introduces its Nitro Drill and Impact Driver Kit

Last month, we told you about the new Worx 201-piece rotary tool accessory kit that can be used with most brands of tools including the Worx MakerX cordless one. Now the company, which is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, has unveiled a kit (item WX960L) that includes a pair of 20 Volt drill and impact tools that can use a variety of Amp hour Power Share brand batteries. (Worx’s Power Share intelligent batteries are compatible with all of its 20V and 40V tools.)

This impact driver and drill driver combination kit comes with a couple of 2 Ah batteries and a charger. Each of the tools has an efficient brushless motor and the company says it “runs 50% longer, is 25% more powerful, and has 10% longer life than brushed motors”. The drill (item WX102L) has a heavy-duty 1/2” ratcheting metal chuck and the impact driver (WX261L) has a 1/4″ quick-release HEX metal chuck for fast bit changes. The drill has all-metal gears, two speed ranges and 20+1 clutch settings. The impact driver offers three speeds to accommodate different drilling and fastening applications. Both tools have variable speed triggers and lightweight designs for less fatigue.

Included in the kit beyond the two tools, batteries and charger are two belt clips, a double-ended screwdriver bit (flat and Phillips) and a tool bag. The kit comes with a 3-year warranty and a 30-day guarantee, and it lists for $189.99.
